Big Win for Renters' Rights – No More Huge Upfront Payments!

Thanks to the lobbying efforts of NUS, amendments to the Renters’ Rights Bill have been passed, banning landlords from demanding multiple months' rent upfront, making housing costs more manageable for students. The NUS is now focusing on the No More Guarantors campaign, with a National Lobby Day at Parliament. This victory highlights the power of student politics and encourages students to continue advocating for change, with officer elections coming up for those interested in leading these efforts.

Your Union is working hard to support students during this time. We will keep you updated in the coming weeks.
