Each of our activities will be raising awareness for a number of men's mental health initiatives.

The Government has just announced a number of changes to finances for Home Students. This includes a raise in tuition fees by 3.1%, bringing them up to £9,535 per year starting in 2025/26.

There will also be a 3.1% increase in Student Maintenance Loans and a reintroducing of the Maintenance Grant in England.

The Filipino Society recently hosted a vibrant karaoke night at Simmons Temple with Queen Mary University, attracting just under 80 students from across London. This year, they’ve seen a 186% membership increase and have been highly active, organising weekly events such as a Meet and Greet Bingo Night, a collaboration with Royal Holloway and Westminster Filipino Societies, a clubbing night, and a Filipino Cuisine Food Crawl. A standout event was the Jollibee x Araw collaboration, which brought together over 100 Filipino students from various universities, fostering community spirit and supporting small businesses.

In an exciting match during Hockey's 24-25 BUCS season, Brunel Women’s 1st secured a 2-0 victory against City St George’s Women’s 1st (Hospital) in the ICG Women’s South Eastern Conference Cup! This win highlights the team’s strong performance and determination as they continue to compete in the league. Congratulations to Brunel Hockey Women’s 1st on their impressive achievement!

Iwan, our Home Students Officer, has been diligently lobbying for increased financial support for home students. He recently released a statement condemning the rise in tuition fees. Additionally, Iwan attended the Student London Partnership, a collective of student unions dedicated to enhancing the experience and financial situation of students across London.
