Timetabling changes have caused me a lot issues, not only was my timetable released last minute, but it has also changed several times since it was published. This has made it incredibly difficult as I have 2 jobs and have had to change my availability to work to accommodate my classes – jobs I need to survive, and my employers are not happy.
The University need a proper policy in place to protect students from this stress:
1) Timetables should be finalised weeks if not months in advance.
2) Last minute changes to days and times should only happen in exceptional circumstances; it should not be the norm.
Is it a lot to ask that I should know when I am expected into university for classes well in advance? I commute to campus and this disorganisation has caused me a huge stress, I don’t think I am asking a lot.
