The motion to change the officer structure at Brunel didn’t pass, as it required a two-thirds majority but received 56% of the vote. Read more below for details on what was proposed, the results, and what’s next for improving student representation! While the motion didn't pass this time, the majority support shows there’s a strong desire for change, and we’re committed to refining the proposal with your feedback. Your input is invaluable as we continue working to make student representation more inclusive.

This week, Creative Writing Society are celebrating the success of their open mic night in Uxbridge, where members had the chance to share their work and engage with the local community. With great turnouts at their weekly socials and regular posts about their events on Instagram (@brunel_creative_lounge), they’ve been creating a strong and vibrant creative community at Brunel. Whether you’re into poetry, short stories, or just good vibes, the Creative Writing Society has been creating a space for everyone to get inspired and get involved.

In a fantastic display of both skill and team spirit, the Volleyball squad has been on a roll. They raised an impressive £119 for the club through their Bake Stall and high jump competition, showing their dedication both on and off the court. To top it off, all three teams—Men's 1, Men's 2, and Women's—came out on top with strong 3-0 victories in their respective fixtures. Huge congrats to the teams for their dominant performances and their continued success!

A huge congratulations to Estefania Bartolotta and Zulfikar Akbar Parpia for being named Course Rep and Senior Rep of the Month for November! Estefania has been an outstanding Course Rep in Civil Engineering, engaging in all activities since her foundation year. She played a key role at the Open Day, delivering passionate talks and interacting with students while visiting various labs. Zulfikar, as Senior Rep, has been fantastic this month, consistently engaging with Law students and providing valuable feedback at meetings to address issues within the department. He has also been an active volunteer at Student Union events, including working at the Freshers' Fair.
