BUCS Survey

BUCS is asking UK students in higher education to complete their survey so they can better understand student wellbeing, graduate outcomes and student activity patterns. If you don’t play a sport or go to the gym, it doesn’t matter! They still want to hear from you.

If you complete the survey, you will be entered into a PRIZE DRAW! Prizes include: one £200 Amazon voucher or one of five £125 Amazon vouchers. We will contact the winners in the new year by email.

Visit Bath with One Brunel

Ever wanted to visit Bath's renowned Christmas Market? You're in luck! In just over a week, on the 7th December, we'll be embarking on a magical day trip across the country with fellow students. Bath's Christmas market consistently ranks as one of the best in England, and now you have the chance to experience it firsthand.

Fancy joining us for this festive adventure?

We're calling an emergency meeting!

Right now, Union representation isn’t fully reflective of the wonderfully diverse Brunel community, and that’s not okay. We’re failing to fully be your voice.

We’re calling an Emergency General Meeting to make real, radical changes. The Voice Team has been working hard, listening to your feedback. You've told us what’s not working, what you care about, and what needs to change.

Come along on Thursday 5th December 2024 to make your voice heard. By attending you’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Gift Pay gift card or one of two £50 runner-up prizes!

We've called on the VC for urgent action!

We know Universities across the UK, including Brunel, are facing financial challenges and as a result Brunel is looking to reduce its academic and professional services staff considerably. Whilst we understand that some difficult decisions need to be made, we are greatly concerned about the impact the current plans will have on our students and their experience at Brunel.

The Union of Brunel Students is independent of the University, are affiliated to the National Union of Students and our main purpose is to represent the best interests of all students on the issues they may face (whether that's locally on campus or nationally). We are here to make your voices heard! Let’s work together to minimise the impact.

Netball Team Triumphs!

In a thrilling match, the Brunel 1st Netball team secured an important win in their BUCS league, keeping them in with a chance at promotion: Brunel Women's 1 35 - 26 Surrey Women's 2.

Additionally, Brunel Netball have done an incredible job with fundraising this month for Movember - raising £134 as of the 19th! Congratulations!

Kiru gets people involved in Movember!

Kiruthika our Gender, Diversity & Inclusion officer, did an amazing job hosting an awareness stall for Men's mental health on the concourse this week and created a campaign video aimed at promoting social inclusion.

Working with the university to amplify the "Happy to Talk initiative", Kiru is hoping to eradicate loneliness on campus!
