I am Nishant Rajwardhan Sinha, and I am your current International Students' Officer for the academic year 2024/25. With a focus on practical solutions, diversity promotion, and enhanced accessibility, here's what I pledge to accomplish:

My Vision

I envision a campus where every international student feels embraced, supported, and empowered to thrive academically and socially.

Cultural Exchange Initiatives:

• Organize diverse cultural exchange events, including festivals, exhibitions, and workshops, to celebrate the rich tapestry of our student community.
• Establish cultural liaison committees to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among students from different backgrounds.

Mentorship and Support Programs:

• Implement a comprehensive buddy-up program that pairs incoming international students with experienced mentors who can provide guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
• Expand peer support networks to include regular group meetings, online forums, and social events aimed at fostering friendships and connections.

​Language and Academic Support:

• Introduce language exchange programs that encourage language learning through conversational practice and cultural immersion.
• Advocate for the creation of dedicated academic support centers staffed with tutors and mentors from diverse backgrounds, providing assistance with coursework, study skills, and exam preparation.

Enhanced Communication Channels:

• Improve communication channels by creating centralized platforms, such as online portals and social media groups, where international students can access information about university services, events, and resources.
• Establish regular feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and focus groups, to ensure that student voices are heard and that the needs of the international community are addressed effectively.

Advocacy and Representation:

• Serve as a strong advocate for international student interests within university administration and student governance structures.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to address systemic barriers to international student success, including issues related to visa regulations, housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
