what is a general meeting?
General Meetings have the power to override the decisions of Student Assembly or the Officers, call a Referendum, and set out new Union policies. Every student should attend, participate and vote.
HOW OFTEN DO THEY TAKE PLACE?
We hold a General Meeting each year, around February time. This is known as our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and is a chance to discuss all the activities, achievements and issues of the year. The Union's accounts are also submitted for approval, and trustees are approved.
Sometimes we call another General Meeting, if we feel there is a decision that needs to be made by the wider membership.
where do I find more details?
Nearer the time, all details for the AGM will be added to this page and will be circulated via email to all students. Information will be included as to how you can get involved and how you can submit a motion.
