What is the Student Activities & Community Council?

The Student Activities & Community Council focuses on the wider student experience. It brings together student leaders from sports clubs, societies and activities to discuss issues and decide what happens next, on anything affecting life beyond the classroom.

Leadership

The Council is chaired by the Student Activities President, with support from the Co-Vice Chairs: the Societies Volunteer Facilitator and Sports Club Volunteer Facilitator.

What does the Council focus on?

Who sits on the Council?

The Student Activities & Community Council has 22 members representing a wide range of student groups and activities.

All eight members of the Team Brunel Committee sit on the Council and represent the interests of sports clubs.

Three students who are members of a society or sports club are appointed to ensure wider student groups are represented.

Volunteer Facilitator Roles

The Council has two Volunteer Facilitator roles: the Societies Volunteer Facilitator and the Team Brunel Volunteer Facilitator. Both sit within the Student Activities & Community Council and work with the Student Activities President, the Student Activities team and the Student Voice team to represent student groups and the wider community on campus.

What does the role involve?

The role supports the running of the Council; helping with agendas, minutes and the day-to-day organisation of meetings, alongside representing societies or Team Brunel clubs.
