What is CASES?
The
Club and Society Evaluation Scheme (CASES)
is an
accreditation programme
that recognises and rewards well-run sports clubs and societies at Brunel. It aims to support student groups by helping them identify strengths, improve operations, and enhance the student experience.
Purpose of CASES
Celebrate
the work of dedicated committee members
Support development
of clubs and societies
Encourage
self-auditing
and long-term planning
Provide
feedback and suggestions
for future improvement
Evaluation Criteria
Clubs are assessed across
five key areas
:
Organisation
Club Development
Communication
Competition
Democracy & Policy
Award Levels
There are
four CASES award levels
:
Standard
(minimum required – no reward, but mandatory for all active clubs)
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Failure to meet the Standard level may result in the club being deactivated.
Submission Process
Clubs must
complete and submit
the final CASES document with supporting evidence to
student.activities@brunel.ac.uk
by the given deadline
A
draft submission
is also required earlier in the year to track progress
Awards are decided by
Student Activities
and the
Team Brunel Committee/Societies Guild
Final results are announced at the
Team Brunel Awards/Societies Ball
